Description
The 1961 British Empire Trophy race was the 23rd race and was run under the Intercontinental Formula with an engine capacity of 3 litres, rather than 2.5 litres of F1 at the time.
This BRITISH EMPIRE TROPHY SILVERSTONE F1 Programme 1961 is in really good condition with minor handling wear on the covers. It gives you a real idea of the race meeting and the drivers and teams that competed.
Overall, only five races were run under the formula, including a joint race with Formula One. All these races were won by the wonderful lightweight Cooper T53-Climax model; two by Jack Brabham and three by Stirling Moss. This means that these race programmes will be really collectable in the coming years, as this formula was short lived.
